We are seeking an Applied AI & Data Analytics Specialist to design and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that will have a direct impact on millions of people across the Greater Toronto Area.
This role offers the opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation in a large-scale, high-visibility environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Apply AI and advanced analytics to real-world business and operational challenges.
Build and optimize data pipelines and predictive models to improve forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
Deliver data visualizations and insights that enable senior leadership to act with confidence.
Collaborate with diverse teams across safety, customer service, workforce, and operations innovation initiatives.
Contribute to strategic projects that enhance public service delivery through technology.
Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics.
Proven background in Azure-based analytics environments (Synapse, Databricks, AML).
Strong skills in Python, SQL, and visualization tools.
Experience working with large, complex datasets and translating insights into business value.
Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
