We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Intake Coordinator to join our clients on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for initiating the claims process by engaging with plan sponsors and members to collect and validate necessary documentation, ensure claims are set up accurately, and provide support throughout the early stages of claim submission.
Review claim documentation and system information to confirm eligibility requirements in accordance with contractual terms.
Conduct outreach to plan sponsors and plan members within 24 hours of receiving initial claim information.
Follow up via phone and email to resolve discrepancies or gather missing or unclear information.
Issue declination letters when eligibility requirements are not met.
Adjudicate and manage straightforward, short-term claims (Quick Pay claims).
Transfer complex or long-duration claims to Disability Case Managers and Disability Claims Assistants for further processing and benefit calculation.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of all claim documents.
Fluency in both French and English is required to support a bilingual client base.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service environment.
Ability to interpret and apply complex instructions and basic contractual language.
Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
Strong data entry and typing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated excellence in phone communication and client service.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capable of handling multiple priorities.
Experience in disability insurance is considered an asset.
Must be eligible to obtain Reliability Status security clearance as per federal government standards.
