We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Director to lead the people and culture strategy for our client's Canadian operations. Reporting to a senior global HR leader, you will act as a key driver of change, supporting business growth and achieving strategic objectives through the leadership of your dedicated HR team.
This role involves direct partnership with Canadian business units, with a strong focus on enhancing employee engagement, fostering continuous improvement, and delivering operational excellence.

What You Will Do:
Provide strategic leadership for the entire HR function in Canada, supporting a diverse employee base of several hundred associates across multiple business units.
Serve as a strategic business partner to the Canadian leadership team, including the Country Manager and business unit leaders, as well as international stakeholders, to drive business performance.
Collaborate with global HR and business leaders on international projects and initiatives, acting as the key representative for the Canadian region.
Ensure full compliance with all local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
Champion the Canadian context, ensuring that global strategies are effectively adapted to the local legal framework, labour market, and culture.
Design and execute a comprehensive HR roadmap for Canada that aligns with both global HR strategy and local business objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and service excellence.
Oversee the delivery of all HR services and programs, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Manage the national HR budget and resources effectively while driving operational efficiency within the HR function through process optimization and digitalization.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive and complex human resources experience.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Leader (CHRL), or Executive (CHRE) designation, or in the process of obtaining one.
Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and to the U.S. as required.

Bilingual (English/French) language skills are a strong asset.
Previous HR leadership experience within a large, international, matrixed organization.
Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders and influence positive outcomes.

Strong business acumen and a results-oriented approach.
Proven expertise in leading and developing high-performance, highly engaged teams.
Experience leading change management initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment.
