Our valued Federal Government client seeking a Business Consultant for a 1+ year, hybrid contract based in Ottawa. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and design business processes
  • Identify organizational opportunities for the improvement and streamlining of business processes
  • Identify and evaluate critical success factors and performance measurements
  • Assist in the development and implementation in of business improvement processes and a continuous improvement program for the organization
  • Develop and document statements of requirements for considered alternatives
  • Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, application subsystems
  • Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems
  • Establish acceptance test criteria with client
  • Support and use the selected departmental methodologies
  • managing the implementation of an organizational improvement plan to identify, analyze, plan, track, and control organizational improvements on a continuous basis; and
  • performing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis when producing a business case to determine whether further investment in a project is warranted

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years as a Business Consultant

  • 3+ years (within the last 5 years) analyzing and developing business processes.

  • 3+ years (within the last 5 years) identifying organizational/project business opportunities and streamlining processes.
