We are seeking a highly skilled QA Analyst with strong expertise in automation testing and data validation to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience testing large-scale data platforms, particularly within Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Amazon Redshift. Prior experience working with the Ontario Public Service (OPS) is required, as the role involves ensuring compliance, quality, and accuracy of data solutions within the public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for data pipelines, APIs, and applications.
• Perform data testing, validation, and reconciliation on large datasets across Azure Databricks, Synapse, and Redshift environments.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Implement end-to-end QA processes, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot data issues, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Prepare detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and execution reports.
• Ensure all testing aligns with OPS standards, guidelines, and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of QA Analyst experience with a focus on automation testing and data validation.
• Strong experience testing in Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Redshift environments.
• Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets for data accuracy and integrity validation.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, JUnit, or similar).
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and query-based testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Previous experience working within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) is mandatory.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud-based data warehouses beyond Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security practices in public sector projects.
• Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools.
