Our client is seeking a Developer on a 12-month, part-time contract (20 hours per week) to provide programming expertise and operational continuity in support of ongoing and upcoming digital transformation initiatives. The role will involve close collaboration with the client’s internal IT developer to maintain and enhance systems, automate processes, and ensure the reliability of critical digital tools.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide programming support using Django for web-based applications.
Manage and troubleshoot systems hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Develop and maintain Access and Excel tools, including VBA scripting for automation.
Perform HTML edits, conversions, and web design for internal pages.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (1st and 2nd level support).
Escalate complex issues as needed and support system administration tasks.
Conduct research and implement best practices for web and digital systems.
Prepare documentation, reports, and training materials.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong Django (models, views, templates, REST APIs)
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/DHTML, and complex web design
Skilled at gathering requirements and implementing updates
Familiar with Azure portal, resource groups, App Services, and Azure SQL
Ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and manage environments
Previous experience supporting federal government projects is considered an asset
