Join the Backbone of the Transport Industry – Skilled Mechanics Wanted! Agilus is recruiting for an Truck and Transport Mechanic in the transportation industry in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Truck and Transport Technician works collaboratively to support planning, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, and carry out related tasks. This role focuses on maintaining a fleet of amphibious vehicles to ensure they are safe, dependable, and visually appealing for both guests and team member Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on vehicles and vessels in compliance with Transport Canada and Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board standards Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any unsafe conditions Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs and documentation Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and participate in annual inventory audits Ensure a clean and organized work environment at the start, throughout, and end of each shift Follow all company policies and procedures Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned The successful candidate brings: Certification: Valid Red Seal Truck and Transport Trade Certification Driving Record: Clean driver’s abstract Demonstrates strong analytical skills; identifies and resolves issues efficiently by gathering and evaluating relevant information Proven ability to maintain vehicles inspected by Transport Canada and the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (NSUARB) Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs occasionally Planning & Organization: Effectively prioritizes tasks, manages time well, and organizes work to meet deadlines Quality Control: Maintains high standards of accuracy and thoroughness; regularly reviews work and incorporates feedback to enhance performance Safety & Security: Adheres to safety protocols and security procedures; uses tools, equipment, and materials responsibly and appropriately What's in it for you: $43.00 - $45.00 hourly Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance after 3 month probation Full-time, Permanent work 8 hour shift.
