What makes this opportunity stand out:

  • Work-life balance built in – enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), with no weekends, evenings, or shift work.

  • Purpose-driven practice – support the health and readiness of active-duty Canadian Armed Forces members in a role that makes a difference.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct triage assessments during walk-in hours, including patient histories, vital signs, physical exams, and vision testing.
  • Deliver direct nursing care using evidence-based practices (e.g., wound care, injections, IV therapy, respiratory support, specimen collection).
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and within your scope of practice; monitor and document therapeutic responses.
  • Identify abnormal findings and escalate concerns to physicians or other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
  • Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist physicians during minor surgical interventions.
  • Provide patient education related to clinical procedures, pre- and post-operative care, and health promotion.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as responding to patient inquiries, preparing and returning medical files, and documenting care.
  • Maintain infection control protocols, clean clinical areas and equipment, and sterilize instruments.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, including ordering and replenishment.

Qualifications

Recent Clinical Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the past 3 years providing direct nursing care and conducting patient assessments in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.
  • Experience working with adult populations across a range of health conditions is preferred.

Education & Licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
  • Currently licensed and in good standing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses
