Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager IV in the Oil and Gas industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a passion for operational technologies and control systems? This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact IT/OT projects—valued up to $10MM—focused on SCADA, Leak Detection, and Control Systems. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, all while ensuring cybersecurity and change management best practices.
Responsibilities:
Manage full lifecycle of IT/OT projects up to $10MM
Apply PMBOK principles across all project phases
Execute projects using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methods
Develop and implement change management strategies
Create business cases and project documentation
Deliver presentations and status reports to stakeholders
Facilitate resolution of project issues and risks
Ensure compliance with project governance standards
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive project management experience
Certifications in PMP, Scrum (CSM), or Agile (PMI-ACP) preferred
Strong understanding of SCADA, Leak Detection, and Control Systems
Experience with IT/OT infrastructure and cybersecurity
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Willingness to support projects across Canada and the U.S.
An ideal candidate has:
Experienced Leader: Has 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in IT/OT environments, with a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
Technically Proficient: Deep understanding of SCADA, control systems, leak detection, and cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in both IT and OT infrastructure.
Methodology Expert: Certified in PMP, Scrum (CSM), and/or Agile (PMI-ACP), and comfortable navigating both Waterfall and Agile project environments.
Strategic Thinker: Capable of developing business cases, managing change, and aligning project goals with organizational strategy.
Strong Communicator: Able to present to senior leadership, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and produce clear, actionable documentation.
Process-Oriented: Skilled in PMBOK principles, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborative Team Player: Works well with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal departments, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
