Role Description:
Supports the execution of complex financial transactions and provide strategic advisory services to clients in the Diversified and Industrials sectors, while gaining increased responsibility in financial modeling, industry research, and client presentations. This role offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals in the industry, with a clear path for career advancement.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the execution of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
Perform detailed financial modeling and financial analysis to support senior bankers and provide insights into client business opportunities
Conduct industry and market research to complete financial analysis
Prepare presentations, pitchbooks, and other marketing materials for client meetings and investor presentations
Support due diligence processes by gathering and analyzing financial data, reviewing legal documents, and coordinating with various stakeholder
Monitor and analyze financial markets, economic conditions, and industry developments to inform strategic recommendations
Collaborate with team members across different functions to ensure seamless execution of transactions
Considers risk, internal controls and compliance as part of day-to-day accountabilities and adheres to policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; strong academic performance is a plus
1 to 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related financial services field
Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, including DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, and merger math
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with financial databases such as Bloomberg or FactSet is a plus
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Base Salary
$100,000.00 CAD
