Contributes to the overall success of the Global Technology Enterprise Platform’s (GTEP) Strategic Portfolio Office – Resource Management team globally, by supporting the Senior Manager, Resource Management on all headcount and resourcing activities for projects and initiatives across the GTEP group, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Major responsibilities include providing support and governance in the management and reporting of FTEs / contractors, such as headcount and financial analysis, organizational structure reviews, resource lifecycle management, and more.
Is this role right for you?
• Facilitate resource-related inquiries by collaborating directly with hiring managers and senior leadership to manage requirements from intake and validation through to execution, ensuring alignment with internal processes.
• Provide analytical and operational support to the Senior Manager, Resource Management by consolidating, reconciling, and reporting bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly resourcing data using tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of headcount and financial data to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, partner closely with Finance and Technology Hiring teams to ensure accurate reconciliation of actuals and forecasts, enabling precise reporting of spend against headcount for senior leadership.
• Oversee organizational structure and position change requests within Global Technology Enterprise Platform (GTEP), working in close coordination with HR to maintain consistency and alignment across teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and optimization by working with the team to identify opportunities for change and automation.
• Act as a valuable partner to our internal stakeholders and clients by providing best-in-class customer service.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decision-making.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
• A post-secondary education in a relevant area or equivalent experience required
• Customer-focused ability to work in a fast-paced environment with volumes dictated by customer needs
• Excellent customer service and strong written/verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver a positive employee experience
• Advanced knowledge of various Microsoft tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Open and receptive to feedback, with a degree of flexibility/adaptability to change
• Ability to manage own time effectively, along with ability to prioritize and organize incoming work
• Experience in HR, Resource Management and/or Financial Analysis an asset
• Appetite and ability to analyze data at a detailed level an asset
• FI/Banking experience
• Previous Scotiabank experience
• Experience working with contract management tools (Ariba/CMS and Fieldglass preferred)
• Working experience with external vendors
• Experience with invoicing
• Spanish speaking
