Our client in the healthcare supply industry is hiring a Warehouse Associate. This role involves picking, packing, receiving, and shipping medical supplies, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols in a laboratory storage environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on their feet all day, lifting up to 40 lbs, and adapting to a fast-paced setting.
Location & Work Model: Burnaby, BC – On-site
Pay Rate: $20.00/h
Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Contract Duration: ASAP start until end of September
Responsibilities
Pick and pack medical supplies according to order specifications
Receive, check, and store incoming shipments
Conduct inventory checks and cycle counts
Operate a pallet jack for moving materials
Handle occasional materials from a chemical storage area (rare and supervised)
Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques
Use an iPhone or similar device for communication and task management
Communicate effectively with team members via phone, email, and text
Adapt quickly to changes in workflow and priorities
Requirements
Previous experience in picking, packing, receiving, and shipping
Comfortable using a pallet jack
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for most of the shift
CSA-approved steel-toe shoes (mandatory)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Tech-savvy and comfortable with iPhones
Ability to follow instructions and ask questions to clarify tasks
Comfortable working in a laboratory storage environment
Scent-free due to workplace policy
