The Transformation Office plays a critical role in enabling Enterprise Technology to deliver against its mission to bring innovation and value to the Bank with confidence and reliability, by acting as a catalyst for Risk Management across the division.

Analyze data needs and produce an effective database system to meet the needs.

 

In this role you will: 

 

  • Database Architect: Designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that are scalable, reliable and secure; while ensuring they integrate seamlessly with applications and adhere to established best practices for storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Data Modeling: Analyze business processes and requirements to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models that define entity relationships, optimize data structures for performance and integrity, and align with corporate data governance and quality standards.
  • Schema design: Developing efficient, maintainable, and scalable database schemas with appropriate indexing, partitioning, and constraints, while applying consistent naming conventions, enforcing access controls, and refining structures to meet evolving business needs.
  • SQL code development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support applications and analytics, while also building ETL processes to transform and load data from various sources in compliance with version control and testing standards.
  • SQL query tuning: Analyzing and optimizing process, SQL queries, execution plans, and indexing strategies to enhance performance, proactively resolving bottlenecks, conducting regular performance audits, and using tuning best practices.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 
 

 

  • BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant information technology field
  • 5 Years Database Development (Oracle PL/SQL development, MS SQL Server etc.)
  • 5 Years Data Modeling/Data Architect/Data Integration/Data Interface/Database Design
  • 5 Years Database/SQL tuning
  • 5 Years experience with data models in ERP (EBS, PeopleSoft, etc.) or CRM (Siebel, SFC, etc.) or other large OLTP applications
  • 5 Years experience with data models in large Data Warehouse or OLAP (Essbase/SSAS/Oracle OLAP) system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Hands on experience of ETL tools (ODI, Data Stage, Informatica, SSIS)
  • Hands on experience with Business Intelligence tools (OBIEE, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Solid Knowledge of Web Services/XML/SOAP/REST/API
  • Experience with Linux shell scripting.
