We’re assisting our client in the search for an Accounting Analyst to join their team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity and in Mississauga. The Accounting Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial reporting processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with finance leadership to provide meaningful insights, accurate reconciliations, and thorough analyses that support strategic decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing weekly forecasts, monthly financial statements, and required corporate reports
• Review and analyze financial statement trends, variances, and provide clear explanations to management
• Manage fixed asset additions and disposals, ensuring the ledger is accurate and up to date
• Reconcile daily cash transactions to bank records, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Complete monthly account reconciliations for bank, fixed assets, prepaids, and accrued payables
• Review and approve invoices, coordinating with accounts payable to resolve issues
• Prepare journal entries with proper documentation and support
• Maintain accounting controls in line with company policies and financial regulations
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as required

 

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a general accounting role
• Degree in Accounting or Business
• Currently enrolled in or working towards a CPA designation
• Experience with Oracle Financial ERP considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
