As the Senior Procurement Officer in Alberta Parks’ in the Visitor Experience and Business Supports branch, you will lead and manage complex procurement initiatives that support the Ministry’s operational and strategic priorities. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing procurement strategies for unique third party facility and/or campground operations and service contracts in compliance with Government of Alberta policies, trade agreements, and legislation.
This role requires balancing the Ministry’s business needs with best value procurement principles, ensuring transparency and accountability in all processes. You will provide expert advice to internal clients, guide stakeholders through procurement planning and execution, and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.

University degree in Business Administration (i.e. Commerce, Finance, Accounting), Public Administration/Policy, Natural or Social Sciences, Parks Management or a related field, supplemented with a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible procurement experience involving the planning, coordination, and execution of complex, high-value acquisitions.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

This is a permanent, full-time role with standard 36.25 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
