About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to step into a people-first leadership role where planning, procurement, and logistics come together to keep a complex manufacturing operation running smoothly. As Procurement and Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping how materials move from suppliers to production, ensuring teams have what they need to deliver for customers, every day.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners across operations, supply chain, and leadership within a global manufacturing environment. Your ability to balance strategy with day-to-day execution will directly support production continuity, cost efficiency, and long-term supplier partnerships. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving processes, and making data-driven decisions that have a visible impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead and develop purchasing, production planning, and logistics teams through coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
  • In this role, you’ll oversee production planning, scheduling, and material availability to reduce bottlenecks and shortages.
  • You’ll partner cross-functionally to forecast demand, align capacity, and support business and customer needs.
  • You’ll develop and track supply chain KPIs, including cost savings, inventory turns, lead times, and service levels.
  • You’ll manage supplier performance, negotiations, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
  • You’ll lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, compliance, and process optimization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive procurement or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven leadership experience supporting buyers, planners, or supply chain teams.
  • Solid negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience sourcing niche suppliers and supporting custom manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams and suppliers.
