Assisted Living and Social Services provides supports for seniors, families and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, financial supports, services for the homeless, continuing care services, and other social-based programs. This ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families.

Role

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Employment and Financial Services, you will provide strategic oversight for the integrated service delivery of diverse and complex social programs for the North Zone (Edmonton and north from border to border), including Income Support (IS), career and employment services, Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Child Support Services. Your leadership strengths include ensuring consistency of program service delivery to clients and guiding a significant shift in culture that will support the ministry’s strategic mandate and operational goals. This role involves significant cross-ministry, internal and external stakeholder relationship building to manage issues in a highly complex and visible environment.

 

 

Qualifications:

Your background includes extensive related senior management program services experience including demonstrated expertise in managing the delivery of multiple client-facing services.    An influential leader, you bring experience in managing complex program initiatives, stakeholder collaboration, program/policy/financial compliance and empowering high performing teams.  Knowledge of social programs and program delivery would be an asset. A related degree is preferred.

 

 

Salary

$5,234.94 - $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 annually)
