Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team, supporting internal and external communications initiatives for Crave, Specialty Channels, and MuchMusic. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience, build your portfolio, and network with industry leaders.

Job Description

  • Social Media Strategy: Contribute to and execute social media strategies designed to enhance brand PR
  • Content Creation & Editing: Write, edit, and proofread compelling communications materials, including weekly/monthly Crave alerts, screener emails, LinkedIn and Instagram posts
  • Content Management: Populate and maintain content on The Lede (our internal content platform) using WordPress, including uploading photo assets and screeners, as well as updating and curation of social media platforms
  • Media Monitoring: Conduct daily media monitoring of assigned programs and brands
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports, working with AI tools and Meltwater, for earned media coverage and campaign performance, creating insightful presentations for executive leadership
  • Event Support: Assist the communications team in planning and executing events and press days
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, creative, digital, brand partnership, and social media teams

Critical Qualifications

  • Diploma from a University/College program specializing in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or marketing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest in a career in entertainment communications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Resourceful and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with talent
