Our Federal Government Client is seeking an experienced and user-focused UX Researcher to support Digital Transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through a variety of research methods. Your insights will directly inform content, service, and design decisions, helping to deliver accessible and user-centered digital products and services across the department.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and Conduct Research:
Identify, collect, analyze, and synthesize existing data and research to assess the need for original research.
Scope, plan, and manage user research studies including method selection, participant recruitment, facilitation, data analysis, and reporting.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Engage with users, designers, developers, policy makers, and stakeholders (internal/external) to understand research needs and guide next steps
Deliver Actionable Insights:
Translate research findings into meaningful insights that inform user experience strategies, content design, information architecture, service and interface design.
Promote Equity and Accessibility:
Apply equitable, inclusive, and accessible research practices, ensuring representation across diverse user groups
Qualifications and Skills
Created web pages including multimedia design and developed interactive prototypes demonstrating core functionality for usability testing and presentations.
Designed flowcharts and content diagrams to visualize navigation, content structure, and the interactive connections between web pages.
Developed and implemented usability tests, analyzed results, and modified designs based on findings.
Conducting user interviews, usability testing, accessibility testing, empathy mapping, and journey mapping.
Scoping, planning, managing, and executing all aspects of user research studies, including some of the following:
Determining appropriate research methods
Defining research plans
Recruiting participants
Moderating research sessions
Collecting and analyzing data
Documenting insights and presenting actionable recommendations
