We are recruiting for a detail-oriented Junior Copywriter/Copyeditor to join our client in the Broader Public Sector on a temporary contract basis. This role focuses on producing clear, accurate, and consistent communication materials. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, adaptable, and is comfortable working in a high volume environment.
-Location: Midtown Toronto
-Duration: 10 weeks (possibility of extension)
-Hybrid: 2-days onsite
Write and edit concise, informative copy for print and digital materials.
Review and validate content against provided source material to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand or project guidelines.
Proofread all content for grammar, clarity, and consistency prior to approval and publication.
Support the creation of additional content such as web pages and social media posts as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all deliverables meet quality and deadline requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of experience in copywriting, editing, or related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with digital content creation and social media best practices is a plus.
Exceptional grammar and attention to detail.
Strong fact-checking and verification skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Adaptability to handle changing priorities and quick-turnaround projects.
