Job Title: Psychologist – Occupational Health Services (Contract)

Position Overview
A Federal Government Client is seeking qualified and experienced registered psychologists to provide psychological services and support for its Members in the Division. Working within the Occupational Health Office in Regina, the psychologist will play a vital role in assessing, supporting, and maintaining the psychological well-being and fitness for duty of members.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the mental health and operational readiness of Canada's national police service through clinical service, critical incident response, cadet screening, and professional consultation.
Key Responsibilities
General Psychological Services
Provide clinical services and support to members.
Conduct fitness for duty assessments and prepare detailed psychological reports.
Offer professional consultation to management and health teams.
Deliver expert testimony or consultations for internal or legal matters, as required.
Ensure all documentation and reporting complies with standards and confidentiality protocols.
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Conduct debriefings and interventions following critical incidents (in-person or virtually).
Provide follow-up recommendations and reports within 5 business days.
Cadet Screening
Administer and interpret psychological screening tests for cadet applicants.
Submit formal reports with recommendations on psychological fitness for training.
Respond to follow-up requests (e.g. ATIP, Human Rights Commission).
Specialized Psychological Assessments
Assess members for readiness to join or remain in specialized units (e.g., ERT, ICE, FS&IS).
Provide psychological debriefings following traumatic events as requested.
Occupational Health Services
Meet with members for mental health assessments and develop referral or treatment plans.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings for return-to-work or long-term disability planning.
Provide emergency assessment and planning when a member may pose risk to self or others.
Qualifications
Licensed/Registered Psychologist in good standing with the appropriate provincial college (e.g., Saskatchewan College of Psychologists).
Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience (preferably in occupational or emergency services psychology).
Experience in crisis intervention, trauma support, and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
Strong clinical writing and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with law enforcement or first responder populations is considered a strong asset.
Ability to travel within Saskatchewan, occasionally on short notice.
Additional Requirements
Must be available Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, based on an agreed-upon schedule.
May be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, or statutory holidays.
Must respond to critical incident requests within 24 hours and deliver services within 72 hours.
Must notify the client of any conflict of interest with private practice.
Work Environment & Commitment
Estimated 20 hours per week with flexibility and potential for additional hours.
