Lead and manage full lifecycle IT infrastructure projects with a primary focus on client computing and Windows 11 upgrade initiatives.
Drive the development of business cases, feasibility studies, and planning documentation in alignment with organizational priorities and best practices.
Prepare comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, schedule, resource plans, risk management strategies, and quality control measures.
Oversee and monitor all aspects of project execution including financials, procurements, communications, quality, and risk management.
Direct activities of cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, QA Analysts, and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring engagement through Steering Committees and Technical Advisory Committees to align project goals with business expectations.
Provide detailed, ongoing project reporting to stakeholders, including monthly status reports and ad hoc updates.
Ensure governance processes are followed, including change management, RAID log maintenance, and accurate documentation of meetings and decisions.
Deliver key project artifacts including charters, initiation documents, communication plans, technical memoranda, and final closeout reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies and maintain a strong sense of urgency in achieving project milestones.
8+ years of full-cycle technology project management experience across SDLC and infrastructure projects.
5+ years of specific experience managing IT infrastructure projects, with a proven track record in risk, change, issue, time, and scope management.
Hands-on experience managing complex contracts and delivery partner organizations.
Previous involvement in Windows 11 upgrade projects is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects with budgets exceeding $2M and cross-functional teams of 10+ members.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and engage senior executives.
Expertise in stakeholder engagement and consensus-building across technical and business teams.
Familiarity with project governance frameworks, steering committee management, and formal project delivery methodologies.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and SharePoint.
PMP certification is an asset; training in best practice project management methodologies is expected.
Experience managing projects in public sector or similarly structured organizations in Canada is considered a strong asset.
Understanding of Organizational Change Management (OCM) principles and their application in project environments.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
