Rogers is seeking a Bilingual Delivery Specialist for our Wireline Network team. Reporting to the Manager of Headend Implementation for Wireline, the candidate will be responsible for the implementation of project design in a dynamic fast paced environment focused on network growth and technology advancement. He/she will be responsible to ensure successful delivery of network upgrades in the province of Quebec. The successful candidate will work creatively, collaboratively, and analytically demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and delivery excellence. 

 

 

Delivery Specialist

  • Identify and manage all project deliverables to meet Project and Business objectives as well as In-Service Targets. Primary focus being Core and Access Transport, including Non-Standard RB (Large Enterprise) projects.
  • Prepare and update project schedules, implementation plans / roadmaps
  • Approve, track and control project expenditures to ensure that the overall financial objectives of the project and build program are met.
  • Troubleshoot obstacles / conflicts and provide overall focus and leadership to cross-functional project teams.
  • Provide concise and timely reporting on vendor deliverables including equipment orders and delivery.
  • Establish and maintain communication channels with team members, senior management, equipment vendors, other telecom providers and third-party operators to ensure project success.
  • Provide support and direction to other departments within the organization during the life cycle of projects.
  • Execute work orders to complete construction activity to meet project objectives.
  • Hire external contractors to complete construction activity as per project schedule.
  • Communicate relative project information to project team.
  • Conduct field inspections and review construction reports.
  • Be aware and adhere to all applicable Health and Safety regulations, in accordance with legislation and related Company policy

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Technology education background, and relatable experience
  • 5+ years of experience in telecom or related background
  • Project Management experience/knowledge an asset
  • Optical Transport Systems experience/knowledge an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English) to collaborate with colleagues on a national scale.
