Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is a busy emergency and referral hospital that is currently looking for Animal Care Attendants to join our Referral Hospital. These full-time opportunities include a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operations of the hospital.
Duties include:
Assist Doctors and RVTs with appointments & procedures, including surgery
Patient care: walking, feeding, and assisting the RVTs with restraint for procedures (including IV catheter placement, radiographs and surgical procedures)
Excellent customer service skills; a positive attitude and the ability for putting pets and pet parents at ease
General housekeeping duties; pet holding areas, surgical suites/treatment areas, and common areas
Willingness to learn and take on additional duties as needed
Flexibility to work in various hospital departments as required
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Ability to maintain our high standard of care for patients
Ability to prioritize and having a team focus
Animal handling experience
