The Role 

 

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager to lead Data Products Excellence & Innovation across the enterprise. This role is accountable for shaping and operationalizing a scalable, trusted, and high-impact data product practice that fuels analytics, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making. You will define and implement the strategic vision, lifecycle framework, and best practices that elevate data products as a core enterprise capability.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Develop and implement the strategic framework for data product excellence, including product standards, governance models, and delivery practices aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Define and manage the end-to-end data product lifecycle –including key activities, deliverables, standard templates, and reporting artifacts– with a focus on product discoverability, usability, and scalability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional Product-Oriented Delivery (POD) teams, including Product Managers, Analysts, 
  • Engineers, and Governance specialists, to ensure a standardized approach and consistency across all data products.
  • Drive the adoption of a data-as-a-product mindset across business, analytics, engineering, and governance teams.
  • Partner with senior leadership and business units to identify opportunities for data product investment, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Lead maturity assessments and continuous improvement efforts that drive higher adoption, consistency, and value realization.
  • Drive alignment with Data Products CoEs to scale consistent, governed operating models that balance reusability, compliance, and business agility.
  • Promote a product innovation culture, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in data product management, data strategy, or related roles, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience leading or establishing a data product function, CoE, or enterprise-wide data product strategy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data product lifecycle management, governance frameworks, and agile product delivery.
  • Certifications in data product management, or data governance (e.g., CDMP).
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with Data Mesh principles, including domain-oriented data product delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across business, technology, and data teams and deliver results in complex environments.
  • Experience with financial services regulatory environments, compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Experience working with cloud-native data platforms (e.g., GCP, Databricks), BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and familiarity with analytics technologies (e.g., Python, SQL, ML platforms).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
