Agilus is recruiting for a Pre-Construction Director in the Construction Industry in Burlington, Ontario. Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Pre-Construction Director to lead pre-construction efforts for major heavy infrastructure projects. This office-based role in Burlington will oversee pursuits through to construction kickoff, ensuring seamless project transitions and risk mitigation. Responsibilities: Oversee proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews. Support client engagement and relationship-building during the pre-construction phase. Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing pre-construction team. Ensure alignment with the companies standards for safety, quality, and innovation. Lead pre-construction activities from project pursuit through to construction launch. Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to develop winning strategies. Identify and assess project risks, proposing mitigation strategies early in the lifecycle. Successful candidates will have: Proven experience in heavy infrastructure construction (transportation, water, energy, etc.) Strong understanding of project development, risk management, and construction planning Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills Engineering or construction-related degree preferred Total rewards: Competitive compensation.
