Our Global Wealth Management team is hiring for a Technical Delivery Lead role. This role will be part of a team who is responsible for Trade Execution and Portfolio Management related applications and serves the customers of the Wealth business line Scotia McLeod. The team is known for excellence in delivery and the support of many critical client facing and back-office applications.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Project Delivery Lead

  • Start to finish delivery of mission critical enhancements and initiatives
  • Plan and Manage Project deliveries of various initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Plan and Manage resource capacity plan.
  • Release planning, coordination and deployments in various environment (IST, UAT, Prod).
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues like scope creep that could impact project or service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain critical project documentation such as diagrams, project plans, risk logs, and critical paths.

Services Delivery (ITSM)

  • Maintain product backlog and delivery roadmap items, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Enhance and manage service dashboards using ServiceNow, tracking performance metrics and service delivery.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement efforts to enhance service delivery efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist with application portfolio management(APM) to ensure applications are current and risks are managed effectively.
  • Lead the incident management process, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.

Communications Management

  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including regular updates on project status and progress.
  • Identify and communicate any impediments with practical solutions to Sr. management and stakeholders.
  • Being Proactive vs Reactive.

Team Player

  • Collaborate effectively with established team members, adapting to team norms and dynamics.
  • Promote and practice agile, Kanban, and Scrum principles to manage workflow.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders including product owners, business lines, and technology teams.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ IT industry experience with Technical Project delivery.
  • 3 to 5+ years’ experience with service deliveries and familiar with ITSM process.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with project and service delivery.
  • Hands on experience with MS Office Suite i.e., MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Hands-on experience with designing and managing dashboard using tool like Power BI, Tableau, Service Now, JIRA etc.

Nice-To-Have-Skills:

  • Wealth/financial industry exposure or Exposure to wealth products
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Service Now
  • Familiarity with Agile, Kanban methodology and Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, architecture review, operational readiness and change management process.
