We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Senior Manager of Security Content Development to lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing detection capabilities across our security ecosystem. This role will drive the evolution of our cyber detection and threat management program, ensuring timely identification of threats, minimizing false positives, and enabling rapid incident response.

Leadership & Strategy

 

  • Lead and mentor a team of detection engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute the detection engineering roadmap aligned with organizational risk priorities and threat landscape.
  • Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Security Operations teams to ensure cohesive threat detection coverage.

 

Detection Development

 

  • Oversee the design, development, and tuning of detection logic across SIEM, EDR, NDR, DLP and cloud-native platforms.
  • Ensure detections are mapped to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and aligned with threat models and use cases.
  • Implement threat detection best practices to ensure scalable, testable, and version-controlled detection logic.

 

Operational Excellence

 

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure detection efficacy, coverage, and performance.
  • Drive automation and integration of detection pipelines with alerting, triage, and response workflows.
  • Lead post-incident detection gap analysis and implement improvements.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

 

  • Partner with IT, Cloud, and Application teams to understand system changes and proactively adapt detection strategies.
  • Communicate detection capabilities and outcomes to technical and executive stakeholders.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on detection engineering or threat detection
