We are looking for an experienced IT Account Manager to join our IT Consulting team at BMO, P&BB Technology for a hybrid role based out of Toronto. As a senior member of a multi-functional team, you will primarily be responsible managing the business partner relationship for assigned Business LOBs within P&C and will be the focal point for all technology planning services. Providing management consulting services and technology/industry expertise in support of business and enterprise needs.  In particular, he/she oversees the creation, alignment, and ongoing management of business /Information Technology (IT) strategies and roadmaps, ongoing prioritization of initiatives and IT Investment planning.

Candidate we are looking for also has a combination of following skills, experience and mindset:

  • Manages the business partner relationship for assigned Business LOBs within P&C and for consulting on all technology planning, strategic roadmaps, and prioritized initiatives

  • Provides consultancy and advice to business partners on the applicability and usability of alternative technology directions to help address the business problem/issue.

  • Collaborates with business partner executives and senior management to align technology directions with business strategy and plans and to translate these into technical business solutions.

  • Maintains a multi-dimension view of business and technology roadmaps, industry and market and internal resources to drive the idea, feasibility and conceptualization phase of projects.

  • Works closely with the Lead Technology Officers to execute on LOB Technology strategies (both “run the bank” & “change the bank” initiatives).

  • Oversees multi-disciplined Technology teams to develop appropriate technology responses to address business initiatives.

  • Drives the conceptualization phase of technology projects and participates in the remaining project phases to ensure business partner needs are met.

  • Collaborates with and challenges technology specialists and solution architects in developing cost effective solutions that appropriately solve for strategic and tactical business imperatives, preparing and presenting estimates to LOB.

  • Communicates technical strategies and changes clearly to both technical teams and business groups.

  • Assess value of potential work; has a complete understanding of all work included in the annual plan.

  • Where required investigate, recommend and approve changes to systems, procedures, products and people to meet plans, achieve goals, and maximize scorecard.

  • Provides coaching, mentoring, professional guidance to Business Analysts and Business Consultants, as required, in order to drive work forward, foster professional development.

  • Supports our LTO and platform teams by developing and managing fnew and improved processes and tooling to facilitate the intake and assignment of new work

  • Ability to work independently with great resourcefulness; Is able to manage change and cope with complex and ambiguous situations

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive relevant experience, preferably within IT business analysis/business consulting, supporting and leading large and enterprise-wide projects; a post-secondary degree in business, finance, and/or computer science. MBA is an asset.

  • Possesses broad/diverse business knowledge of a range of functions, products, and/or systems, or expert knowledge of specialized functions, products and/or systems.

  • Possesses extensive practical experience in application development and/or business partner solution delivery.

  • Understands current technology trends and process quality methodologies and how these can be applied to the business partner’s business

  • Strong experience in software development practice, concepts/methodologies and tools (i.e. waterfall, Agile, iterative, JIRA, Confluence), and technologies obtained through formal training and/or work experience.

  • Strong experience in technical/business environment (e.g. Microsoft business technologies and applications, relational databases, and SharePoint).

  • Strong experience in business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project lifecycle.

  • Understands the T&O organization (i.e., the relations between different technology areas) and stays abreast of the current organizational state

  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

  • Influence skills - In-depth.

Salary:
$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
