Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Estimator - Landscaping in the Construction industry in Vaughan, Ontario. The Senior Estimator – Landscaping plays a key role in developing precise and competitive cost estimates for landscaping projects across commercial, municipal, and residential sectors. This position demands in-depth knowledge of landscape construction, horticulture, and site development, along with the ability to analyze plans and specifications, evaluate project risks, and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for landscaping projects, covering elements such as hardscape, softscape, irrigation systems, grading, and site furnishings Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and related documents to estimate time, materials, labor, and overall costs Request and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate pricing Perform site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings to evaluate existing site conditions and understand project scope Identify potential risks, opportunities for value engineering, and any constructability challenges Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to ensure consistency in project scope and pricing Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to clarify project specifications and address any discrepancies Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing and contribute to the development and refinement of estimating tools, templates, and best practices Successful candidates will have: A bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred 5–7 years of proven experience in landscape or construction estimating roles Deep understanding of landscape construction methods, materials, and industry best practices Skilled in using estimating software such as B2W, HeavyBid, and PlanSwift, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical thinking, organizational abilities, and effective communication skills Capable of handling multiple estimates and meeting tight deadlines efficiently What's in it for you: Office based role Attractive compensation Vision and Dental care, extended health care Opportunity for professional development Group insurance and competitive pension plan
