Agilus is recruiting for a Data Analyst in the Oil and Gas in Calgary, Alberta. Accountabilities: Data Modeling & Design: Estimate, design, and develop scalable data models for Master Data Management (MDM) and transactional data to support enterprise reporting and analytics. Data Governance, Standards & Culture: Define and enforce enterprise-wide data management principles, standards, and best practices. Act as a data steward and promote a data-driven culture. Data Analysis & Documentation: Profile and analyze data for insights; document business rules, definitions, and data lineage. Data Integration & Mapping: Design data structures and implement mapping strategies to align source systems with the enterprise data model. Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business data needs into technical requirements through close engagement with stakeholders Requirements: Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Data Management with a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) designation or equivalent industry experience. Brings 6+ years of experience in data profiling, analysis, and business requirements gathering within enterprise data and analytics environments. Proficient in data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and enterprise data architecture (e.g., operational data store/star/snowflake data models). Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and manage large datasets across various platforms including Oracle, Databricks SQL, Synapse, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server Soft skills: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
