Student, Training and Certification (Eastern Region)

Number of Positions: 1

Term: September 1st, 2025 to December 19th, 2025

Schedule: 30 hours per week

Location: Montreal, YUL (Hybrid)

Salary: $17.30 to $30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education

Language Requirement: Bilingual Imperative

Summary of responsibilities:

We are seeking a driven and innovative student to join the local Training and Certification Development (TCD) Team as a Student, Training and Certification – East Region. Reporting to the General Manager, Regional Performance East, the student will support regional training and operations through data analysis, ensuring data integrity, and assisting with various region-specific initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the local team's needs and priorities.

 

What you need to succeed:
To qualify for the position, you must have:

·       Enrolled in a university degree in Operations Research, Operations Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, Business Administration, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position

·       Updating Learning Management System (LMS) Transcript records;

·       Running data quality monitoring reports, identifying and investigating issues detected in LMS;

·       Resolving data integrity issues and discrepancies;

·       Entering data according to specified format;

·       Supporting team members in the creation of reports and spreadsheets;

·       Participating in acceptance testing of new content releases or LMS features.

 

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

The ideal candidate must have:

·       Well organized and thorough;

·       Superior investigation and problem solving ability;

·       Attention to detail;

·       Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and work under pressure;

·       Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;

·        Ability to quickly react to requests, with the capability to reprioritize initiatives in order to provide solutions to challenges;

·       Proven team player but must also have the ability to work independently and deliver results.

·       Experience in communicating ideas visually, verbally and in writing;

·       Data Entry skills.

 

Valuable skills include:

·        Knowledge of CATSA’s organizational structure, mandate, priorities, operating environment and its interrelationships with other internal/external government and industry stakeholders will be considered an asset;

·        Advanced verbal and written communication skills;

·        Consistent ability to set and deliver against a work plan in a fast-paced environment;

·        Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

 

To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:

 

·       Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;

·       Be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance;

·       Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and

·       Be returning to full-time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
