Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist I to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data science principles and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

The team’s portfolio focuses on anomaly detection and field services use cases. We take complicated business problems, dive deep into the data and processes associated with those problems, and create both classification/regression and generative/agentic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a part of the field services team. Learn deeply about how field services operates, the everyday problems that need solving, and create those solutions.
  • Be a contributor to the end to end AI/ML solution. Wrangle the data, create the model, define the parameters of productionization, and continuously improve it.
  • Be willing to innovate, particularly on complicated, undefined problems. We often are given an outcome, and it is our job to find the way to take the business there.

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • Approximately  3 years of relevant work experience in a data science or analytics role.
  • Experience in a Cloud environment. GCP is preferred – but we recognise that cloud skills are transferable.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Familiarity with various data frameworks, especially Beam and Dataflow.
  • Experience with popular machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Experience with a major Generative AI platform such are VertexAI Agent Space.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry or applying technical problems to operational/supply chain problems.  

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
