Our federal government client is seeking a Quality Assurance/Management Specialist to support their technical team by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management documentation and analysis aligned with industry and organizational standards. This position involves creating clear, concise documentation and supporting compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within a structured quality environment.
Contract: Three (3) years full-time (+ potential extensions)
Location: On-site Ottawa
Language: Conversational French / English essential
Clearance: Secret level of security clearance
Analyze technical content such as laboratory procedures to extract and clearly explain requirements
Write, revise, and validate documentation for quality management systems including procedures, manuals, and standards
Collect and synthesize information through stakeholder engagement to produce accurate and user-friendly quality materials
Review documents to ensure adherence to formatting, language, and technical standards
Design layouts for guides and manuals and produce training materials for system users
Support quality performance evaluations through trend and pattern analysis and identify opportunities for improvement
Use publishing and graphics software to produce final quality system documents
Store all documentation in official records management systems in accordance with defined procedures
Participate in management review meetings, record discussions, and generate draft minutes
Submit monthly status reports outlining tasks completed, challenges encountered, and recommended improvements
Prepare deliverables including quality manuals, reports, and training content in standard digital formats
Post-secondary education in science, technology, or engineering from a recognized Canadian institution
Minimum of two years of technical field experience
Minimum of two years of experience writing technical documents or standard operating procedures
Minimum of two years of recent experience working within an ISO 17025, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001 accredited organization
Strong written communication skills with the ability to create and revise structured quality system documentation
Eligible for and capable of working with confidential and controlled information in secure facilities
Demonstrated ability to analyze quality performance data and generate actionable insights
Skilled in collaborating with technical authorities and responding to quality assurance requirements
