Agilus is recruiting for a Lab Technician II in the oil & gas industry in Nanticoke, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
Active participation in LPS program and safety initiatives
Full compliance to OIMS requirements
Performs testing in a safe and DIAF compliant manner
All laboratory testing and procedures, instrument troubleshooting, calibration, quality control, and routine maintenance are required to be carried out within strict data integrity (DIAF) guidelines.
Completes annual data integrity assurance framework review and endorses acknowledgement document
Self manages completion of WebCat modules
Completes Test Method Assessments as assigned
Mandatory completion of the progression/training requirements for the Laboratory
Successful candidates will have:

Satisfactory pre-placement medical assessment from the Health Centre against the physical requirements of the position.
Candidates must have past lab work experience. Preference will be given to candidate with background in; production testing, safety and quality management systems (i.e.; OIMS, QP&G, GPQMS, ISO 9001 registration, CIMS, DIAF, Engine Operation, Environmental testing and Gas Chromatography).
Relevant knowledge and experience with Analytical laboratory instrumentation such as routine calibration and maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment (i.e. Gas Chromatographs, Distillations, Vapour Pressure, Extractions and Titrations)
Previous experience troubleshooting non-routine lab testing and equipment reliability concerns which includes working with vendors or technical support
Previous proven capability using statistical quality control is required which includes working knowledge and reacting to run rule violations for standard deviations, control limits, moving ranges and biases
Previous proven capability using Statistical tools (i.e.: TPI, cPk's, Site Precision etc)
Ability to apply procedures based on Industry Standards ASTM, EI, CGSB, AQUA and MISA. Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Genie, Adobe Acrobat software.
