Our leading healthcare client is looking for an AWS Quicksight Developer to join their team on an 8 month term + extension. This will be a hybrid role with the option to work from their Toronto or Ottawa office 2 days a week.

Services:

This Senior Developer will design, develop, maintain, test and deploy the code and implementation of Qlik based visualizations, dashboards and reports, including Qlik data models, security models, backend integration with AWS S3/Redshift, embedding in Drupal based web pages thru mashups, following approved architecture design, AODA (WCAG 2.0) compliance, bilingual (Eng/FR) requirements and User Experience provided wireframes and Information Architecture directives. This candidate will also involve in building applications using AI features in AWS Quicksight.

The successful candidate must:

• Be proficient in AWS Quicksight development, data modeling and dashboards/visualizations, reporting techniques, extensions and web integration of apps to Drupal web pages which are accessible.
• Be experienced in using AI features in AWS Quicksight and creating reporting applications with AI features built in for end users
• Have hands-on experience building applications with large data sets
• Have hands-on experience with data modeling, joins, filters, calculated fields, expression, parameterization, custom queries, direct queries, SPICE optimization.
• Be experienced in application design, architecture, development and deployment using AWS Quicksight. Applying the best practices for visualizations, the design must follow CIHI standards/UX guidelines/wireframes and be AODA (WCAG 2.0) compliant and bilingual (Eng/FR).
• Be able to understand and translate technical and business requirements into AWS Quicksight architectural designs.
• Be able to implement the proposed technical solution using the CIHI Cloud Technology stack (AWS, Redshift, S3, Informatica, Drupal).
• Be experienced with AWS Quicksight Management Console, including Management, Security rules and Maintenance of tasks, Extensions, Streams and Apps.
• Be experienced with handling performance issues with AWS Quicksight applications (Performance tuning).
• Have knowledge/experience in utilizing AWS Quicksight API’s for loading data, adding metadata, deployments.
• Have experience with automated deployments, source control.

Knowledge and Expertise:

• Extensive experience in Business Intelligence development utilizing AWS Quicksight (functions, dashboards, visualizations, filters, tooltips, dynamic control, parameters, custom development) and extensions, to solve Business problems and meet Business requirements
• Experience working with Quicksight data assets management/develop data modeling, joins, filters, calculated fields, expression, parameterisation, custom queries, direct queries, SPICE optimization.
• Extensive experience in developing integrated Quicksight applications with embedded BI dashboards in the website (Drupal, HTML).
• Experience with AWS Quicksight Q (Natural Language Query), Designing topics \, synonyms, data prep for Q, Embedding Q in Quicksight applications.
• Experience with AWS Quicksight data stories (creating using AI, then refining and Sharing data stories)
• Experience in implementing custom visualizations and widgets using third-party charting libraries in addition to in build like High charts
• Experience with Quicksight Management Console, including user, group Management, Dashboard and asset Sharing, Row level Security.
• Experience in working closely with a team of UX designers to meet their design standards and wireframes
• Experience in developing Quicksight applications to fit Accessibility compliance rules (AODA WCAG 2.0) and Quicksight Customizing application.
• Experience in developing multilingual Quicksight applications (Eng/FR)
• Experience with data integration in AWS utilizing a variety of data sources (csv files, Oracle 12c, Redshift, AWS S3, AWS Athena) and performance tuning with Quicksight
• Excellent knowledge of SQL including performance tuning of SQL queries
• Knowledge and experience with architecture of Quicksight security models are asset
• Experience/knowledge of automation of managing data assets, dashboard using AWS CLI and SDK of Quicksight
