This is a strategic opportunity to join the AI Model Validation and Governance (AIMVG) team and own the delivery of AI governance projects that shape how AI is developed and deployed responsibly! You will play a key role in enhancing governance frameworks, leading cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations such as OSFI E-23 and GDPR. By coordinating with internal teams and external consultants, you will help mitigate risks like shadow AI and drive ethical, scalable AI adoption. This role directly supports our mission to build trustworthy AI systems that align with our values and regulatory obligations!
Position Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of Responsible AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and strategic goals.
Ethical AI Advocacy: Champion responsible AI practices across the organization, influencing model development and deployment strategies.
Governance Frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain AI governance frameworks aligned with global standards.
Risk & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal model risk guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
Partner Engagement: Collaborate with data scientists, MLOps, legal, compliance, and business teams to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.
Audit & Validation: Support internal and external audits, and contribute to model validation processes with a focus on fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to promote responsible AI practices across technical and non-technical teams.
Benchmarking & Innovation: Assess industry-leading responsible AI platforms (e.g., IBM Watsonx) and propose standard methodologies for adoption.
Thought Leadership: Stay informed on emerging trends in GenAI, AI ethics, and regulatory developments, and share insights with internal collaborators.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in project management, ideally in AI, data science, or risk governance environments.
Strong understanding of AI ethics, model risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with standards such as GDPR, OSFI E-23, SR 11-7, and model risk governance.
Excellent communication and partner leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification.
GARP RAI Certificate or similar AI governance credentials.
Previous experience in audit, compliance, or operational risk management.
Experience working with MLOps platforms and AI model lifecycle tools.

Salary range is expected to be between
