Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert in Human Rights Employment and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to support Canada’s workplace inclusion initiatives and review progress on key DEI commitments.

Tasks

  • Review Canada’s DEI Strategy and Action Plan (DSAP) and assess implementation progress.

  • Evaluate fulfillment of settlement commitments with the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC).

  • Define project scope, approach, timeline, and required data to complete the reviews.

  • Provide objective, evidence-based analysis of actions taken to improve DEI in staffing, recruitment, and workplace culture.

  • Deliver clear, actionable recommendations based on best practices in comparable organizations.

  • Lead stakeholder consultations to gather input and validate findings.

  • Prepare a professional final report and executive summary for internal and public audiences.

  • Meet project milestones and deadlines as outlined in the schedule.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of recent experience advising on DEI and anti-racism in staffing and career development.

  • Proven experience supporting large organizations (1,500+ employees) on DEI aligned with federal mandates.

  • Strong knowledge of federal staffing legislation and policies.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines using structured project management tools.

  • Skilled at preparing high-quality, clear, and concise reports and summaries.

  • Experience facilitating consultations with diverse stakeholders.

  • Valid Top Secret security clearance or eligible for PSPC Level III (Top Secret) Security Clearance.

  • Available for both remote and on-site work as needed; fluent in English.
