Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you grow your career at Scotiabank.

We are part of Global Human Resources, which is a strategic function that operates around the world. Campus Recruitment and Talent Development is the engine that influences a generation of talent by finding, engaging, and developing future superstars for all our business lines globally.  We are a crucial partner to the business as we attract, assess, select, and develop early talent from campuses around the world. Developing early professional talent is at the core of what we do, where the focus is on customization of experiences and strategy. The Campus Recruitment and Talent Development team is responsible for finding and developing future leaders.

Your Career as the Senior Manager - Canadian Campus Programs Leader:

You’ll report directly to the Director and Global Head - Campus Recruitment & Talent Development, and with a team of program managers you'll be responsible for the early talent development framework and activities in Canada (across all Scotiabank business lines). The goal of your team is straight forward: develop and retain the brightest and best early talent, and to build a strong bench of future leaders. This role is massive - you will lead a team of Velocity Program Managers (responsible for the co-op/ internship experience of students joining Scotiabank), manage social media deliverables, plan & execute internal events (including workshops, masterclasses, and an internal development conference), be active in the Inclusion Campus Committee (which includes ownership of the campus recruitment inclusion strategy, planning events, forecasting and managing a budget, running team education sessions, etc.), oversee internal team operations, participate in strategic workforce planning with HR partners, build & maintain relationships with internal partners, provide mentorship and support to all members on the team, and so much more. We believe in relationships, so we want someone that loves people, is very competitive and driven, and who wants to win. And you need to be innovative… extremely innovative. If you think our style of recruitment and running programs is simply to hire and oversee a group of students you couldn’t be more wrong! It is a busy job with non-standard hours and includes some moderate travel. If you want tremendous exposure to business and HR leadership, a job that is never routine and ever changing, a team that is hyper-friendly and has energy for days, and work that requires a creative eye, then this is the place for you.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

For this role, we believe in hiring people for our team based on skills, talent, and passion for all things early talent. We are looking for someone with 3 to 5 years of transferrable experience (in program/ project management and/ or campus recruitment would be a bonus!). Prior experience and a genuine interest in overseeing and mentoring talent is essential for this role, as is creativity, reliability, multitasking, strong communication skills, and stellar attention to detail. Above all, exemplifying a growth mindset, being committed to continuous development, and having a proven track record of demonstrating leadership beyond your own day-to-day is the secret sauce we are looking for.

A University or Post-Graduate Degree in a field relating to Human Resources Management, Commerce, Business Administration or Marketing is preferred. And last but not least, we are looking for someone who is eager to partake in a moderate degree of travel across the GTA and within Canada – non-standard hours may be required depending on seasonality, with some work during evenings and weekends at times (especially during peak recruitment, hiring, and onboarding season).

What's in it for you?

  • The opportunity to join a forward-thinking, collaborative, global team, surrounded by innovative thinkers
  • A rewarding career path with countless opportunities for professional development
  • Continuous training to support your growth and enhance your skills
  • An inclusive working environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and celebrates wins!

About Scotiabank

The Scotiabank Veterans Network (SVN) is committed to supporting veterans, reservists, and military spouses by recognizing and valuing their unique skills and experiences. As a military-friendly employer, Scotiabank actively promotes the integration of veterans into civilian careers by offering a wide range of employment opportunities across the Bank.  SVN plays a key role in this effort, leading initiatives such as a mentorship program designed to support both current and transitioning veterans.

The team was instrumental in driving recent enhancements to Scotiabank’s reservist leave policy and organized the inaugural Valour and Vision Expo in Q4 2024, where industry leaders pledged to support veterans entering the civilian workforce.  In February 2025, Scotiabank proudly served as the lead Banking Sponsor of the Invictus Games, an international multi-sport event that aids in the rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and ill service members—both active and retired.

Additionally, SVN hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including leadership symposiums and annual Remembrance Day ceremonies, to honor and support the military community.
