Contributes to the overall success of the Global Onboarding Experience team within Global HR Operations ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Act as subject matter expert on Global Onboarding & Workforce Security Screening (WSS) activities. Attend regular meetings with key stakeholders for input to enhanced processes. Conducts research and analysis and actively participates in external forums. 
  • Lead Global Onboarding initiatives, including SuccessFactors Onboarding, background check vendor global expansion, SOX Audit, regulatory & compliance changes, etc.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Manage and update policy, process and program documentation related to Global Onboarding Experience and Workforce Security Screening within Ask HR.
  • Works with the Director, Senior Managers and COE to conduct process assessments and identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to business challenges.
  • Oversees Global Workforce Security Screening initiatives, ensuring that new hires are seamlessly integrated into the organization. Actively participates in project delivery, coordinating with various stakeholders to meet project timelines and objectives. Cultivates and strengthens relationships with individual business units, understanding their unique needs and challenges to tailor onboarding processes accordingly.
  • Provide support to the team and senior management with timely and reliable execution of activities related to reporting metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting active participation and contributing to team development and engagement programs.
  • Identify and promote internal growth opportunities and develop a succession plan for critical roles within the team.
  • Assess the quality of execution of the Global HR Operations business, based on the established QA/Audit processes to drive performance.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or pursuing an education in a related field.
  • Relevant experience in resolving customer service requests.
  • Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer application skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience in Reporting & Analytics and Power BI is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of organizational structure and complexity.
  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with transaction processing and data management.
  • Experience in conflict/issue resolution.
