As an Analyst Programmer, you will implement, measure and gather insights from Operational Level Indicators identifying areas for service improvements covering availability, performance, resilience, incidents and chronic problems. You will implement jobs, as per Runbooks, and automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil. You are expected to lead and perform Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and engage teams to perform technical validation. As well, perform and participate in technical vulnerability assessments, and make recommendations for remediation and overall enhancements.

 

The Role resides in operations, and you are expected to provide rotational 24*7 support.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You possess good communication (verbal/written) skills in English.
  • You have at least 3+ years of hands-on working experience in working with Real Time streaming data projects in operations.
  • You have at least 7+ years of hands-on technical working experience with production support and in-depth troubleshooting of major incidents and problem management.
  • You have at least 2+ years of technical working experience in the use of Apache Kafka for event management.
  • You have at least 3+ years of technical working experience in the use of Splunk and/or Dynatrace for monitoring and alerts.
  • You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with software build and CI/CD deployment pipelines by using 1 of the following tools (Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, Bitbucket).
  • You can demonstrate the ability to read Java code to troubleshoot & debug.
  • You can demonstrate a strong technical understanding of RESTful Services.
  • You can create SQL Queries with any relational databases.
  • You possess technical knowledge of microservices in Cloud (GCP and/or Azure).
  • You can write scripts using any type of UNIX shell scripting language + with Python.
  • You can demonstrate having good organizational skills.
  • You have completed a post-secondary education in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics discipline.
  • Completion of a Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka is an asset.
