Ottawa Public Library (OPL) provides accessible, innovative library and information services throughout the city of Ottawa, that meet the unique needs of diverse communities, delivered through facility, mobile, and virtual channels.
As the Librarian focusing on Community partnerships, you'll be responsible for developing guidelines and recommendations for use of the community offices at the new Central branch at Ādisōke. You will develop and nurture relationships with community partners, identify needs and use cases for those spaces, oversee the formal partnerships and ongoing relationships with community groups and Ottawa Public Library staff, and ensure equitable and responsive use of community spaces. You will also support system-wide community development work, supporting colleagues across the system as they adopt a community development approach.
Completion of Master's degree in library and/or information sciences from an accredited library school.
Minimum of 6 months of related experience
