The Manager, Scotia Financial Planning (SFP) Compensation, is a critical support function for the SFP channel, responsible for execution and oversight of the end-to-end variable compensation administration process. In addition to ensuring all components of variable compensation are administered within set SLAs, the Manager, SFP Compensation will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for process enhancement and tightening process controls to mitigate Business risk.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for managing end-to-end SFP compensation process, ensuring all components are administered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Continuously maintain and enhance process mapping for the overall SFP compensation program
  • Identify gaps and design, develop, and implement effective controls
  • Develop trending which coincides with an escalation process
  • Act as a subject matter expert when working with IT teams to develop system enhancements
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and resolve compensation disputes
  • Own the compensation component of the SFP onboarding program and provide in-depth compensation training to all new Financial Planners and Regional Managers
  • Identify opportunities to leverage current technologies, such as Ai, to streamline manual/repetitive process components and implement tighter process controls where required to mitigate Business risk
  • Review and revamp existing compensation process documentation where required to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity within the team

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • University Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial industry
  • Experience with/working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Bank branch channel is an asset
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to extract data sets and interpret them
  • Previous experience with variable compensation is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with process analysis, operational efficiency, and project management principles
