Purpose
Execute sales activities in relation to the distribution of fixed income cash and fixed income derivative products in the primary and secondary markets; and marketing these products on behalf of the bank while ensuring compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.  Adhere to the sales and marketing strategy to secure new, profitable business as well as further develop existing client relationships to achieve sustainable revenue growth.  


What You'll Do: 

  • Champions a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Deals primarily in fixed income cash and fixed income derivative marketing, execution on behalf of clients and is responsible for marketing FICC products to wholesale clients.  Generates and maximizes profit and client revenues.  Understands the risk profile of transactions and adheres to the processes to manage those risks.  
  • Fosters new and existing client relationships in addition to cross-selling existing relationships across other areas and product groups.
  • Demonstrate high quality communication skills and information flow between Sales, Research, DCM, Trading & Senior management.
  • Work closely with management to optimize balance sheet usage, efficient use of capital, maximizing client value, creating positive returns & increasing business profitability.
  • Performs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Adheres to the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Code of Conduct.

What You'll Bring:

  • University Education
  • CFA, MBA or graduate work is a benefit
  • Deep product knowledge and experience with previous experience in FX and commodities
  • A broad product knowledge of FI instruments and macro developments in the marketplace including: futures, interest rate derivatives, government bonds (nominal and inflation), supra and sovereign bonds, repo functionality. 
  • This role requires successful completion of the National Futures Association’s Swaps Proficiency Requirement (SPR), prior to engaging in in-scope activity


Work Arrangement: 

This position is currently an hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work at least 3 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
