Ready to suit up as a Casual Security Guard

As a Casual Security Guard, you'll be on the frontlines of safety, working across a wide range of dynamic locations including airports, mobile patrol routes, bustling malls, remote camp sites, and various high-activity environments throughout the region.

 

This isn't your typical desk job. One day you could be providing customer service in a busy shopping centre, the next you might be patrolling the perimeter of a secluded industrial site, or responding to real-time alerts at an airport terminal. Adaptability, quick thinking, and a cool head under pressure are the tools you’ll bring with you, wherever the mission takes you.

Responsibilities for Casual Security Guard

  • Monitor the premises to ensure security
  • Conduct patrols to spot any suspicious activity
  • Control access points and verify identities
  • Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security
  • Write detailed reports on events and incidents
  • Collaborate with authorities during serious situations

Qualifications for Casual Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security license
  • Open availability 
  • Class 5 BC Drivers License
  • Ability to work 12hr shifts when needed
  • Ability to pass a drug/alcohol test 
  • First aid certification - OFA 1 required
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
  • Responsive and strong problems solving skills
