As a Survellance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centre, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

  • Conduct access control duties for all employees, visitors, and vendors, including ID checks, screening, and issuing passes
  • Operate and monitor Walk-Through and Handheld Metal Detectors
  • Patrol facility interior and exterior per scheduled times, ensuring safety and reporting hazards or suspicious activity
  • Monitor and control vehicle access in and out of the premises
  • Conduct proper search protocols for employees, visitors, and contractors entering the premises
  • Maintain proper key control and log all access and incidents
  • Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical situations, or security breaches, and escalate as required
  • Write detailed reports for all incidents, accidents, and observations
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to Client employees, visitors, and contractors
  • Ensure strict adherence to client and GardaWorld policies, including uniform and department standards

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security license 
  • First aid certification - an asset 
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
  • Strong proficiency with technology
