Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer, Data Science to join our team. This role requires a data scientist with a proven track record of success in designing, developing, and implementing advanced analytics solutions. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies, working independently on complex projects and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth data analysis, extracting meaningful insights from datasets using statistical methods and advanced data visualization techniques.
  • Strong business acumen, with an appreciation for the opportunities and constraints that accompany an ever-evolving competitive environment
  • Create compelling data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate complex analysis results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Build executive presentations to demonstrate meaningful insights and operational impact from analysis and model development
  • Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of machine learning and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. 
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data science processes and best practices within the organization.
  • Supports team delivering all necessary documentation to formally initiate a project & monitor project developments including project reviews, meetings, work sessions, action-registers
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills required to work well with business users, other analysis teams, development teams, and IT teams
  • Deliver on key projects and data strategies that directly support key business drivers

Critical Qualifications

  • Degree in a discipline such as: Data Science, applied math, applied science / engineering, economics/econometrics, management science / operations research, or related area
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Science role
  • Manipulating large & complex datasets Statistical software and data-mining tools and methods, such as SAS, SQL, Python, R or other statistical packages
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI). 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Build impactful presentations and deliver them to stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
