Summary

The Bell Media Revenue Reporting team provides consolidated advertising sales reporting and analysis across multiple lines of business. The candidate will be responsible to support of the Bell Media sales team, and will play a critical role in the full financial Cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full financial cycle from planning, forecasting to results - Responsible for month-end closure activities
  • Complete variance analysis against targets and forecast as well as identifying related risk and opportunities
  • Partner with revenue management, local finance primes and other internal stakeholders as needed in the development of the monthly forecast, 3 year plan and annual budget, including building a driver based model
  • Prepare financial management reports for Senior Management and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results
  • Prime for providing on-going support for the Sales organization, including issuance of Sales reports
  • Prime for providing analytical support and business intelligence as required.  This would include advertiser/agency trending and analysis, special events analysis, reviewing correlation between audience and revenue, etc.
  • Additional support as required including but not limited to, reviewing contracts, helping the sales organization and billing team to execute/operationalize new initiatives/contracts, etc  

Critical Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of financial/accounting experience
  • Strong data manipulation and data mining skills, with an acute attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
  • Strong leadership and communication/presentation skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Autonomous and disciplined self-starter who can work in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work overtime as required by the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting designation or working towards
  • Knowledge of SAP and BPC
  • Good understanding of the broadcasting/media industry

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
