Purpose

 

The Senior BI Manager is to enable data-driven decision-making through the standardization of BI processes, ensuring data integrity and delivering consistent, high-quality insights that support business objectives across the Bank. Likewise, to lead data strategies for the International Banking region, ensuring the functioning of the Data Model as well as promoting its use among internal users/clients in the country, in order to leverage data-based business decisions, carrying out their functions in compliance with current internal norms, policies, and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 
 

  • Standardization of BI practices, ensuring data consistency and reliability, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Planning (roadmap), design, and execution with an agile philosophy in BI projects.
  • Provides recurring/on-demand analysis and reporting related to clients and products of our business partners.
  • Review data to ensure its integrity for data analysis to deliver business insights and validate hypotheses 
  • Build compelling and user-friendly Power BI reports/dashboards     
  • Development of data models according to business needs, for appropriate data management and reporting implementation.
  • Leads and drives a customer-centric culture for their entire team to deepen customer relationships and leverage the Bank's extensive relationships, as well as its systems and knowledge.
  • Ensure internal client satisfaction levels in relation to received requirements (delivery time, information quality, etc.).
  • Understands the Bank's risk culture and how risk appetite should be considered in daily activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment where their team performs effective and efficient operations in their respective areas, while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations aimed at reducing operational risk, regulatory non-compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities established under the Operational Risk Management Framework, the Regulatory Non-Compliance Risk Management Framework, the International Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Manual, and the Business Conduct Guidelines.
  • Promotes a high-performance environment and implements a workforce strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team, and to achieve this, fosters an inclusive work environment, communicates the vision, values, and business strategy, and manages a succession and development plan for the team.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have/can:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field 
  • 4+ years of experience in financial services, business intelligence and/or data engineering 
  • Working knowledge of Retail Banking products: lending, deposits and complementary products and services offered by other financial institutions and niche competitors 
  • Fluency in Spanish is required 
  • Self-motivated, driven and impact-oriented 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret results and communicate in simple terms 
  • Practical experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, data processing, database programming and data analytics 
  • Sharp interpersonal skills, leadership and influencing capabilities in multi-cultural environments 
  • Nice to have familiarity with DBA tasks and ETL tools
