Training & Development plans and coordinates operational training for the Public Works & Environmental Services department, including Spring/Winter equipment schools, MOE Operator Certification training, supervisory development/succession programs such as Roads and Parks Crew Leader, Maintenance Coordinator and Zone Supervisor (CMZ), and Forestry In-Training Programs, identifies training needs, and supports operational staffing through overseeing the Master Assignment Board and related seasonal competitions.
You are responsible for administering and supporting training and certification programs for the department, including Ministry of Environment Operator Certification and other operational training, health and safety training, and corporate training. You communicate general and program-specific information to management and staff, serve as liaison for staff, training providers and legislative authorities (i.e. Ministry of Environment), arrange training sessions, and schedule staff for training.
Completion of 2 year college diploma in office administration, human resources, business administration or other related field.
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
